The festive menu and prices for Dine on the Tyne which will be back in business in Newcastle next week have now been revealed.
The dining pods, set to open at Urban Garden on the quayside on November 17, have become a popular part of the city's seasonal celebrations in recent years and this time they will be out to offer an Asian-inspired take on what's gone before. The outdoor pods offer a unique dining experience and those who book can enjoy festive food and drinks - as well as great views - in a stunning riverside setting.
The organisers are promising beautifully-prepared dishes to match the surroundings and have revealed the full menu on offer which shows there are some big changes to the food this year. They say it "takes a deep dive into authentic Asian flavours" and that the award-winning restaurant Fusion at Ramside Hall in Durham is being enlisted to prepare a three-course meal. Here is what will be on offer.

Augusta Gilchrist of T he Dining Society, which has made its name in Newcastle since its launch in 2018, said: “We’re making Christmas 2022 bigger and better than ever and we’re confident that everyone will love what we have in store. It has been an incredibly difficult year for everyone so hopefully this will allow family and friends to end 2022 on a high.
“In previous years we have gone with a more traditional Christmas menu but we want to keep developing and evolving the experience so pairing up with Fusion who people will know from Ramside Hall will step up the food offering and offer something different for our regular customers this Christmas. Dining while looking out on the iconic views of the Tyne and Millennium Bridge was a highlight for so many last year so we’re really happy to be back.
She said the team is excited about the upcoming opening and added: “We want to create the perfect Christmas night out for families, friends, and colleagues."
