On post-pandemic mental health

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) and Students Grievance and Redress Club of G.T.N. Art’s College, Dindigul organised an awareness programme on ‘Post-pandemic mental health for adolescents’ on March 29. S. Ramachandran, HoD of Mathematics and RRC PO, welcomed the gathering. Principal P. Balagurusamt presided. Chairman and secretary K. Rethinam and Director Durai Rethinam offered felicitations. District coordinator of Tamil Nadu AIDS Control Society J. Jesintha and Block Counsellor N. Vinodhini gave the keynote address. GRC Cell coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.

Workshop at GRI

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Gandhigram Rural Institute conducted a workshop on ‘Roadmap of NAAC Assessment and Accreditation for quality assurance and sustenance in higher educational institutions’ on March 31. Registrar V.P.R. Sivakumar presided. B.S. Ponmudiraj, Adviser (Academic), NAAC, Bengaluru was the resource person. P. Shanmugavadivu, Director, IQAC, proposed the vote of thanks at the inaugural. 

Photoshop training

The Capability Enhancement Cell of Arumugam Pillai Seethai Ammal College, Tiruppattur, organised a one-day workshop, ‘Adobe Photoshop 7.0’ on March 30. Principal KR. Jeyakumar presided over the programme. M.Ramachandran, convener of Capability Enhancement Cell, gave the welcome address. P.Arunkumar from TCPS Computer Academy, the resource person, gave hands-on training to the students. He said by mastering  of Photoshop, they could become professional graphic designers.  

The Youth Red Cross unit of the college observed World Tuberculosis Day the same day.  G. Pandimuthu, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, welcomed the gathering. K. Vellaisamy, Health Educator, DDTB, Sivaganga,  D. Jasintha and Kaliraj, Senior Treatment Supervisors, Nerkuppai, were the resource persons.
