“Dimaag me kuch nahi chalta” — Vaibhav Sooryavanshi reveals his calm before the storm

Quiet innings, historic milestone

Sooryavanshi had a modest outing with the bat, scoring just 8 runs off 11 balls. However, the brief stay was enough to push him into the history books, as he became the youngest player ever to reach 500 IPL runs, surpassing the previous record held by Prithvi Shaw.

He also achieved the milestone in record time in terms of balls faced, reaching it in just 227 deliveries—breaking the earlier mark set by Glenn Maxwell.

Despite the lean knock in Lucknow, Sooryavanshi continues to lead Rajasthan Royals’ batting charts this season with 254 runs, including two explosive half-centuries. Both fifties came in just 15 balls, placing them among the joint third-fastest in IPL history.

“Cartoons before matches”: the viral moment

What truly caught the internet’s attention, however, was the teenager’s post-match comment reflecting his unusual pre-match routine.

“Dimaag me kuch nahi chalta hai… aaj bhi har din match se pehle hum cartoon dekhte hain,” he said with a smile, admitting that he still watches cartoons before games. “Abhi bhi hum cartoon dekh rahe hain, par focus game par bhi hai.”

The candid remark quickly went viral, highlighting the contrast between his youthful habits and his growing dominance at the highest level.

He also expressed confidence about the team’s momentum, saying, “Accha karenge agla match me. Jeet ke 2 points liye, aage badi playoffs ki taraf.”

Jadeja leads RR to commanding win

Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja delivered a match-winning performance for Rajasthan Royals, scoring an unbeaten 43 and picking up a crucial wicket to guide his side to victory. He was named Player of the Match for his all-round impact.

Captain Riyan Parag admitted that Rajasthan Royals fell short of an ideal total, estimating they were 15–20 runs below par. However, the bowling unit, led by Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger, ensured that the opposition never got close to the target.

Playoff push strengthens

The win propelled Rajasthan Royals to second place in the points table, further strengthening their push toward the IPL 2026 playoffs. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants struggled to build momentum in front of their home crowd.

Even on a day when his bat stayed relatively quiet, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again dominated headlines—proving that at just 15, he is already one of the most compelling figures in the tournament.
