Did you know Jackie Shroff and his family faced bankruptcy after his wife Ayesha Shroff’s film, ‘Boom’ failed due to piracy?

Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Shroff produced a film titled, ‘Boom’ in 2002 which was pirated before its release. Owing to this, the film failed at the box office and left his family in debt.

During one of her appearances on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan, Ayesha revealed that after the film got pirated, the distributors backed off and refused to take delivery of the film. The star wife added that her husband Jackie Shroff supported her a lot. They put their house on lease and lost it.

Ayesha further added that when Tiger joined the films, he promised her that he would buy back the house. According to her, it meant a lot more than anything else. Tiger did eventually buy a house for his mother.

In an earlier interview with a news portal, Tiger said that he remembered how one thing after the other was sold off. According to the actor, it was one of the worst feelings of his life. The actor added that he was 11 years old at the time and couldn’t do much to help.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Tiger will next be seen in ‘Ganapath: Part One’ where he will be reuniting with his ‘Heropanti’ co-star Kriti Sanon.
