Brisbane Airport DFO has been reopened after a threatening note was found in a bathroom, prompting the shopping centre's evacuation.
Police said they were alerted just before 2:00pm and evacuated the centre as a precaution.
DFO Brisbane issued a statement saying it cleared the complex on advice from the Australian Federal Police (AFP).
"We are assisting them with their inquiries," the statement read.
"We will continue to keep our customers, retailers, our people and the community updated regularly as we receive more information."
The statement was later altered to say the centre had reopened after receiving clearance from AFP.
"We thank you for your understanding during this time," it read.
DFO worker Talissa Siganto said shoppers and staff were moved out of the building.
"We were told we needed to leave the building immediately and that there was an emergency situation [that] had been declared," Ms Siganto said.
"We were moved to the normal area where we wait and we got immediately moved across the road and away from the building.
"The police came and set up a perimeter and then the dog squad went inside."
