Tuesday's Devils game against the Ottawa Senators has been postponed due to multiple Ottawa players in the league's COVID protocol.
Announced first by Bruce Garrioch of TSN on Monday afternoon, the NHL has put the Senators' season on hold due to an outbreak that has 10 Ottawa players currently in the league's protocol. According to Garrioch, the Senators were still scheduled to fly to New Jersey as recently as Monday, but those plans have now been canceled.
It has not yet been announced when the Senators would make up their game against the Devils, nor when they will make up games scheduled in Nashville on Thursday or in Ottawa against the Rangers on Saturday.
The Devils had a scheduled off day Monday and will next play Thursday in Sunrise, Florida, against the Panthers. The Devils will next play a home game at Prudential Center on Nov. 24 against the Minnesota Wild.
