Devastated family speak of 'beautiful' 12-year-old boy killed in collision with car

The family of a 12-year-old who died after he was hit by a car have paid tribute to ''our beautiful boy''.

Harrison Palmer was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle collision. Members of his family have paid tribute to him in a statement.

They said: “We are devastated and truly heartbroken over the loss of our beautiful boy Harrison. No words can describe our pain.

“We want to thank all of the emergency services and members of the community who did all they could. We are also very grateful for the love, support and condolences that we have received since.”

The incident happened in Pool, near Camborne and Redruth in Cornwall, at around 3.35pm on Monday, March 13. Harrison was from Camborne.

Police officers continue to make enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision. A 67-year-old man from Hayle has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by driving without due care and attention and on suspicion of driving whilst unfit. He has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
