DETROIT _ Giannis Antetokounmpo earned an MVP trophy without a reliable 3-point shot.
Opponents can only shudder if he ever masters the shot.
Wednesday night was a step in that direction and the Detroit Pistons were the victims in a 127-103 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Antetokounmpo, the reigning MVP, scored 35 points and was 4-for-8 from 3-point range as the Bucks won their 10th straight over the Pistons in a chippy game at Little Caesars Arena that featured six technical fouls.
The Bucks (19-3) smothered the Pistons (8-14), holding them to 42% shooting and snapped the team's first two-game winning streak of the season.
One night after scoring 24 points on 6-for-7 shooting from 3-point range, Blake Griffin struggled to a 16-point night on 4-for-17 shooting. It was the first time this season Griffin has played both games of a back-to-back.
Andre Drummond led the Pistons with 23 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals. Langston Galloway added 20 points.
The Pistons were without Luke Kennard (knee). Svi Mykhailiuk started and finished with six points.
