So far, the biggest free agent prize the Arizona Cardinals have added is linebacker Jordan Hicks, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles. The details of what turms out to be a four-year, $35 million contract are in.

Hicks gets a $12 million signing bonus.
Here is the year-by-year breakdown:
2019: He earns a $2 million fully-guaranteed salary. He earns up to $500,000 in a roster bonus for the number of games he is on the 53-man roster and up to another $500,000 based on games active.
His cap hit will be up to $6 million, depending on the number of games he is active.
2020: His salary is $6 million, $3 million of which is already guaranteed with the rest being guaranteed for injury and becoming fully guaranteed on the third day of the 2020 league year. He has the same two roster bonuses worth up to $1 million based on games on the active roster and games active.
His cap hit will be as much as $10 million, based on games on roster and games played.
2021: He will earn a $5 million base salary with the same bonuses as the previous years.
His cap hit will be up to $9 million, based on games on roster and games played.
This is the year the Cardinals have an out in the deal. There is no guaranteed money left, they could cut him with $6 million in dead money but with up to $3 million in cap relief.
2022: His base salary will be $6 million and will get up to $1 million in roster bonuses as with the previous years.
His cap hit will be up to $10 million, based on games on roster and games played.
