Despite starting John Wolford, the Rams now turn to Jared Goff due to injury

Prior to kickoff in Seattle between the Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams, it was reported that Sean McVay decided earlier in the week that backup John Wolford would get the start over Jared Goff, who has been dealing with a right thumb injury.

Wolford did indeed start for the Rams, and on their second possession of the game Los Angeles was inside the red zone. McVay called for a designed quarterback draw, and Wolford dove forward on the carry for additional yardage. Safety Jamal Adams dove to meet the quarterback, and his shoulder collided sharply with the quarterback’s helmet.

Wolford was slow to get up, and was taken directly to the locker room. The Rams were right back where they were a few weeks ago, turning to Goff. He was sacked almost immediately after entering the game, and the Rams were forced to settle for a field goal from Matt Gay.

Wolford remains in the locker room, and their third-string quarterback Blake Bortles is inactive. This is a situation to watch in Seattle.
