Two Scots dogs stolen as police launch appeal for help finding culprits

Two Scots dogs were stolen during a home break-in sparking a desperate police appeal.

The pair of female dogs were swiped from a property in in Glen Prosen, north of Kirriemuir, in Angus sometime between 2pm – 5pm yesterday.

A white van, possibly a Transit or similar, with noticeable rust spots was seen in the area around the time of the theft.

Other items stolen included a leaf-blower and tools.

A police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing with regard to this incident. If you have any information that could assist us, please call 101 or speak to any police officer.

"Also, information can be given anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 2392 of August 19."

Thousands of people shared the post in a desperate bid to find the missing pets.

One person said: "Scum mate too much of this happening."

A second person said: "Really hope you get babies back soon how heartbreaking for you all."

A third person said said: "This is unbelievable."
