Edinburgh man who failed to return home traced after desperate appeal

A missing Scots man has been traced after a desperate appeal was launched when he failed to return home last night.

Andrew Kovacs was last seen near Rose Street, Edinburgh, yesterday afternoon around 4.30pm.

The 25-year-old was reported missing this morning after it was confirmed he never made it home.

Police Scotland launched an appeal to try and trace Andrew, and urged anyone with information or who may have seen him, to come forward.

Officers have now confirmed that Andrew has been traced safe and well.

When he was last seen, Andrew was wearing grey Adidas shorts, a bright orange hi-viz work jacket with the letters “ASC” written on the back, calf-length work boots and a white t-shirt.

He was also carrying a large black rucksack with red writing on it.
