Designer Recounts Horrific Balcony Incident During Diddy Trial: ‘Hung Me Off The Rail’

CONTENT WARNING: This article discusses alleged abuse.

A friend of Cassie Ventura has taken the stand in New York, detailing a terrifying incident involving Sean “Diddy” Combs that she says still haunts her years later.

Fashion designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan testified on Wednesday (local time) that Combs allegedly lifted her up and dangled her over the edge of a 17th-floor balcony at Ventura’s Los Angeles apartment in 2016.

“He basically came up from behind me, lifted me up and hung me off the rail,” Bongolan told the Manhattan federal court, according to Page Six.

She said Combs yelled, “You know what the fuck you did,” while holding her by the armpits and letting her feet dangle above the balcony rail.

Bongolan, who is just over five feet tall, recounted trying to push herself back to safety as Combs shouted at her. She said she had “no idea then and no idea now” what she was supposed to have done to provoke the alleged attack. After about 15 seconds, Bongolan said Combs threw her onto some balcony furniture, leaving her with bruises and pain in her leg and neck.

Cassie Ventura, who was in her bedroom at the time, reportedly came out and asked, “Did you just hang her off the balcony?”, per news.com.au.

Bongolan told the court she didn’t go to police because she was scared of Combs, stating, “I have nightmares. I have a lot of paranoia, and I used to scream a lot in my sleep sometime,” per AP News.

She said she still suffers from night terrors and anxiety as a result of the alleged incident.

The court also heard about another incident where Bongolan said Combs threatened her life. During a photoshoot in Malibu, Bongolan claimed Combs came close to her face and said, “I’m the devil and I could kill you.”

She admitted to being on cocaine at the time, telling the court, “Yeah, we had a problem,” referring to her and Ventura’s drug use, per news.com.au.

Bongolan is now suing Combs for $10 million, seeking damages for sexual battery and false imprisonment. Combs’ legal team has denied the allegations, telling Page Six, “Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless… In court, the truth will come to light, demonstrating that the claims against Mr. Combs are without merit.”

Combs has been hit with multiple allegations from several people, including Cassie Ventura herself, who previously testified about being physically assaulted by Combs. Another former assistant, Capricorn Clark, also told the court about being threatened by the rapper.

The trial is ongoing, with Combs pleading not guilty to all charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. As more witnesses take the stand, the court will decide whether the claims against him hold up.
