Rangers could sign three new players ahead of their Premiership opener against Dundee United next week.
Derek McInnes is aiming to strengthen the squad in wide areas and defence. This follows a 2-1 friendly win over St Etienne, with penalty goals from Lawrence Shankland and Thelo Aasgaard.
McInnes said: "We need a bit more in the wider areas and we could do with another defender as well.
"I think the recruitment team have been really aggressive and we're clear in what we're trying to do in terms of the positions we've identified."
The manager hopes to have two signings secured before the West Ham match this weekend, with a third possible before facing Dundee United. McInnes added: "We are looking quite close to completing one or two things.
"I certainly think it'll be at least two in for Sunday's game and hopefully another one next week."

He also pointed out the current lack of defenders, with Dujon Sterling unavailable after an ankle injection. McInnes said: "We're not overly blessed with defenders at the minute."
Despite the need for reinforcements, McInnes insists they won't rush into signings. He said: "You want ideally everybody in as quickly as possible, but sometimes you've got to be patient as well.
"You don't want to blink too early, and there might be better options.
"Normally when there's good players available you're not the only show in town — there's other teams you're competing against."
He praised the board for their support, saying they are "being really aggressive, giving us a chance to get good players here."
