'Derek Acorah' is retweeting tributes to himself - and everyone is saying the same thing

Fans of Derek Acorah have been sharing their condolences and paying their respects after learning that the TV medium has died at the age of 69 after a short illness.

The sad news was revealed in a statement by Derek's beloved wife Gwen Acorah, and there's been an outpouring of love on Twitter.

Fans have noticed some of the heartfelt tributes have been shared by Derek's official Twitter account and it has prompted quite a reaction.

"Good to see @derek_acoraH has already used his initiative and learnt how to use Twitter beyond the grave," said one tweeter.

"Always knew the guy had a special talent."

"Derek Acorah's personal Twitter account is retweeting condolences from the other side. What a pro," said another.

"He retweeted you from the other side!!" another fan pointed out.

In a Facebook tribute, Gwen wrote: "Farewell my love! I will miss you forever! I’m devastated to announce that my beloved husband Derek has passed away after a very brief illness.

"Thank you so much to everybody who has supported me - I can never thank you enough."

And warm tributes have been flooding in for the former Most Haunted host and former Celebrity Big Brother contestant who appeared in the 20th series in 2017, finishing in fourth place.

"Rest in peace. Sending love to Gwen and your family xx" said one.

"No way I can’t believe it the legend that is @derek_acorah has passed on god bless you and Gwen as well as the family can’t believe it," said another.
