Demi Moore turns 60 and gets sweet note from ex-husband Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming

Demi Moore celebrated her 60th birthday on Monday and received plenty of love from her friends, family and fans on social media.

Among those sharing sweet words was the wife of Demi's ex-husband Bruce Willis. Bruce and Demi were married between 1987 and 2000. The pair continued to amicably co-parent their three kids - Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 28 - and have both remarried.

Despite going in different personal directions, the pair have remained friends, and in another show of unity, Bruce's second wife, Emma Heming has wished the actress a happy 60th birthday.

The latest Mrs Willis took to her Instagram story to write: "Happy Birthday @demimoore. We love you inside out."

The words were a play on Demi's latest memoir titled "Inside Out". Both Emma and Bruce appeared in the post holding the book, with bald Bruce firing a smile at the camera.

The post comes months after Heming, 44, modelled a one-piece swimsuit on social media that had been co-designed by the Ghost star.

The very similar version of the Andie Swim's costume was modelled by Demi for the brand's summer campaign.

Both Demi and Emma work together to help Bruce deal with his health issues and have grown closer in recent years. Bruce suffers from aphasia, a degenerative brain disease. Model Emma is said to be trying to ensure the Die Hard star, 67, is getting the best possible help for the condition.

A source told PEOPLE earlier this year: "He has an assistant at home to make sure that he is safe, but Emma takes care of him too."

He's said to be going through a "difficult time," acting to Hollywood pal Sylvester Stone, who admitted he is "so sad" for his friend and his ongoing health issues.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the Rocky star said: "Bruce is going through some really, really difficult times. So he’s been sort of incommunicado. That kills me. It’s so sad."

When Bruce's condition was first announced in March, Sly was one of his first friends to send him public well-wishes.

In April, it was announced Bruce will be quitting his acting career as the issue can affect his ability to speak and understand language.
