Demarai Gray believes there is "chemistry" between the players in Everton's revamped attack.
The Blues have scored five times in the opening two league games of the Rafa Benitez era and Gray got off the mark for the club with one at Leeds United on Saturday.
Gray arrived from Bayer Leverkusen in a cut-price €2m deal while Benitez also added Andros Townsend on a free, to help improve the pace and productivity in Everton's forward play.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who scored his second goal of the season from the penalty spot at Elland Road, had chances to extend Everton's lead before Leeds levelled but Benitez's side kept pushing for a third.
The Blues registered 17 attempts in the game - eight of which were on target - having had 14 attempts, and six on target, in the win over Southampton.
And Gray says he can already feel an understanding developing between the new arrivals and the forwards who were already in Everton's squad.
"Dom could've helped me out today with an assist!" Gray joked.
"But, for sure, there is a lot to come from us attacking players and you can see in such a short time that there is that chemistry.
"It's about being in the final third and exciting the fans. I feel like we look dangerous when we go forward and we have got goals in us.
"The instructions are to be direct and put balls in the box."
Gray's goal was only his 11th Premier League goal in over 130 top flight appearances but he believes that with Benitez's backing he can soon improve that tally.
"I don't really think about where I'm going to play, I just feel the belief," he said.
"His man management has been great so far. I really feel that belief from him."
The summer recruit was replaced at Elland Road with less than 10 minutes remaining and received a standing ovation from the travelling Blues fans.
Gray was also afforded the same reception when coming off against Southampton on the opening day of the season.
"The fans have been great with me ever since I came in," Gray said.
" I am grateful for that and it's a great moment for me.
"They kept pushing us through the game against Southampton and though it was a big day for Leeds, our fans kept pushing us. I love an away goal too."
But Gray could not hide from the fact that his attempt at a knee-slide celebration didn't go to plan.
"Dom did a knee slide so I thought I would try it!" he says, laughing.
"I think I've put my knees in a bag of sand and nearly done a front flip!"
