Delivery driver, 43, robbed at knife-point in Renfrewshire as police launch manhunt

A delivery driver has been robbed at knife-point in Inchinnan .

Police have launched a probe into the shocking incident, which took place when the 43-year-old was carrying out deliveries in Luckinsford Avenue then Luckinsford Road in the Renfrewshire town.

The robbery took place at around 9.05pm on Saturday evening, when the delivery driver was approached by a man who threatened him with a knife before making off with a two-figure sum of cash.

The delivery driver was uninjured but badly shaken as a result of the robbery.

The man responsible was wearing a black hooded top, black trousers, gloves and a black scarf. 

He was last seen heading through the footpath that leads into Umachan, Erskine.

Detective Constable Alasdair Whitelaw of Paisley Police Office said: "Anyone who witnessed this robbery, or has any information that will assist in identifying the suspect should contact Paisley Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 4948 of 29 June. 

"Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
