Deliveroo to launch in Newark and they are hiring riders and drivers

Food courier service Deliveroo is on the look-out for delivery drivers and riders in Newark, where the service is due to launch in March.

The company has seen rider numbers increase this year due to increased demand for food delivery during lockdown, and now works with around 50,000 riders across the UK.

According to government restrictions, food delivery drivers are classified as key workers.

The company is offering all riders free medical insurance and free training courses for riders and their families.

Deliveroo’s arrival in Newark could also boost some local businesses, who can opt in to become a partner.

Harrison Foster, Deliveroo’s UK regional director, said: “We’ve seen a huge demand for Deliveroo in Newark-on-Trent and we’re excited to be launching next month. We’re really excited to be creating new work opportunities for local people.

“The team is looking for people with passion, drive and great customer service who are seeking the added benefit of flexible work amongst other perks. Anyone who's interested should head over to our website to sign up.”

Restaurants, takeaways and grocery retailers can apply at restaurants.deliveroo.com/en-gb to become a Deliveroo partner.
