A Deliveroo cyclist was captured cycling in the outside lane of Scotland's busiest motorway after his sat nav took him on the 'wrong road'.
Railway worker, Scott Inglis filmed the moment he spotted the cyclist on the M8 near junction 16 for George Square in Glasgow, on Saturday July 3 at 4.12pm.
The unidentified man is cycling within the third lane that is coned off for roadworks, although he crossed two busy lanes to get onto the 50mph section of the motorway.
He is wearing a helmet, and his bicycle is carting a Deliveroo branded bag.
Scott and his colleague Fraser Boyce, call out to the cyclist asking him what he was doing.
Scott shouts to the cyclist: "What ye dain [doing], it's a motorway you are on - you're off your f****** heid."
The cyclist shouts back: "Wrong road."
"Wrong road, absolutely, f****** maniac" Scott shouts back, while laughing.
He later shared the clip online with the caption: 'Wrong road? Think you could be right mate."
The video has since been viewed 160,000 times, attracted 1,700 comments, 1,800 reactions and has been shared 3,500 times.
Speaking today Scott, 32, said: "My colleague (Fraser Boyce) saw I man on a bicycle in his wing mirrors coming from Lane 1 to Lane 3 on the westbound M8 motorway just past George Square cut off - I recorded the video."
One user commented: "I'm dying, the accent makes this even better hahaha."
Another wrote: "This sort of s**t is happening all to often nowadays.
A third said: "Living life in the fast lane!"
A fourth added: "Oi, he's delivering my maccie ds - I told him to take the quick route."
Deliveroo have been contacted for comment.
It is illegal for a cyclist to be on the motorway. Under Highway Code rule 253 it is listed as a prohibited vehicles.
