Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Dele Alli has suffered a hamstring injury, insisting Tottenham must be "careful" managing a latest injury to a key player.

Tottenham’s injury woes have gone from bad to worse with Alli forced off in the latter stages of their win over Fulham on Sunday.

Alli pulled up on the touchline with eight minutes of the match remaining with Georges-Kévin N'Koudou brought onto replace him for the remainder of the match.

Speaking to Sky Sports post-match, Pochettino said: "We all see the reaction, he suffered an injury in is left hamstring

"We need to assess him in next few days, we hope it is not a big issue.

"But first of all, we need to assess."

Pochettino has also commented the injury "doesn't look great" through the club's Twitter account.

Spurs are already without the key duo of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, with the striker sidelined until early March with an ankle injury and Son on international duty with South Korea at the Asian Cup.

Alli scored Tottenham's equaliser at Craven Cottage before Harry Winks scored an injury time winner.
