Deji performs retirement U-turn after losing third YouTube fight in a row

YouTube star Deji is willing to fight again despite losing his third bout in succession.

Deji, brother of KSI, was beaten on points by Alex Wassabi in London last night in a chaotic clash with was interrupted by a fan storming the ring in the second round.

One judge gave the Londoner the nod but the other two, rightly, awarded the decision to Wassabi who was making his boxing debut.

Deji had vowed to retire if he lost following back-to-back defeats by Jake Paul and Vinnie Hacker.

But after losing to Wassabi, he asked the crowd if he should reconsider his decision to hang up his gloves.

And after they roared their encouragement, he said: "If you guys want me to fight again, I'll show you what I can do."

He and Wassabi then shook hands on a rematch which could take place later this year.

"I did great," the American said. "I didn't know who was going to win at the end. I didn't realise how tough it was going to be.

"These people love their people and they showed it; I didn't hear my name once.

"Deji, I just wanted to compete and if it wasn't for you that dream wouldn't have come true.

"I want to get back in... I don't know when the next YouTube event is."

Deji later tweeted: "Thank you guys for supporting me and I’m sorry, but nothing will keep me down."

The social media star had overhauled his training camp for his third fight and had lost an impressive 35lb in weight.

But he was unable to stamp his authority on Wassabi despite the visitor making his boxing bow.

"I guess I think too much when I box and I don't punch enough. Alex did well, I can't dispute that," Deji added.

It was an otherwise successful night for the British fighters with King Kenny outpointing Faze Temperrr in the co-main event.

The American complained of biased judging however, forcing his rival to take to social media to insist he had won.

"Everyone in the arena saw I won that," he tweeted. "I don't know why people online are saying it’s rigged.

"I'm going to review the whole fight shortly on a video and show why I won and if he wants to run it back in America for me to beat him again then bring it!"
