Deion Jones contract: Details on Falcons linebacker’s 4-year deal

After signing defensive tackle Grady Jarrett to a four-year, $68.5 million contract extension, the Falcons locked up another defensive cornerstone when they re-signed middle linebacker Deion Jones to his own four-year extension last week.

Jones’ new contract has the second-highest annual value among all NFL inside linebackers. Over the next four seasons, he’s set to earn $57 million, with an $18.8 million signing bonus and a total of $34 million guaranteed.

Check out a detailed breakdown of Jones’ new deal from Over The Cap below.

Jones’ contract averages $14.25 million through the 2023 season. His cap hit, while low for this upcoming 2019 season at under $5 million, gets as high as $16.3 million in the final year of his deal.

The big upside here is that Jones is only 25 years old and will stay in Atlanta as he enters him prime.
