'Deep reflection' - PSG make Kylian Mbappe admission amid Liverpool transfer rumours

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has said Kylian Mbappe is still considering his future.

Mbappe is rated as one of the best players in the world and there Is a fair chance he will be available on a free transfer in the summer. The 23-year-old's contract in Paris is up at the end of the season with speculation surfacing linking him with a move to clubs like Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Mbappe has been crucial for PSG yet again this season, helping the team to yet another Ligue 1 title. In 31 outings in the French top flight in 2021-22, he has registered 22 goals and 14 assists.

If he was to move on in the summer then he would leave a major void in the French capital, although according to Leonardo, the striker is yet to make up his mind, per L'Equipe (h/t Get French Football News ).

He said: "Kylian is speaking and saying things clearly. I really believe in what he’s saying. He’s in deep reflection. I don’t think he’s made his decision.

"He knows what we want, and we know what he’s thinking. That’s why I think it’s a question of timing. He’s in deep reflection in order to make the best decision."

Real Madrid saw a massive €200million (£171million) offer rejected by PSG for Mbappe last summer, meaning the French champions could be set to miss out on a huge windfall should the former Monaco man walk away for nothing.

Liverpool already have one of the best collections of forwards in world football, although with uncertainty lingering over the futures of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, Mbappe could represent a stellar acquisition.
