Deathloop finally gets a photo mode

It’s been more than eight months since Deathloop came out, and Arkane Studios is still tweaking the mind-bending shooter.

On Thursday, Game Update 3 for Deathloop added the long-requested photo mode. Producer Jeremy Leulier believes fans should have a ball with the photo mode, even if adding one was tough.

“One of our biggest challenges was to adapt photo mode for a first-person shooter where your character isn’t displayed apart from the hands and weapons,” Leulier said via the PlayStation Blog. “We wanted to offer the best possible experience for this mode and took the time to playtest it thoroughly and even asked for insight from players who are experts in using different photo modes in games. We took so much pleasure testing photo mode that we added a lot of relevant options for the player to make it even more fun and funnier to use.”

There’s also a trailer for Deathloop‘s photo mode, which you can check out below.

Game Update 3 also adds more than 30 accessibility features to Deathloop. We’re talking everything from minor UI settings to straight-up gameplay speed adjustments. It’s all available via a new “accessibility” tab in the options menu.

If you love Arkane’s games, it’s worth scooping up Prey off Epic’s storefront for free. Sadly, the studio delayed its next title, Redfall, until 2023.
