Death In Paradise legend Danny John-Jules it set to make an epic comeback to the BBC series after four-years.
The BBC crime drama, set on the fictional island of Saint Marie, is celebrating its 10th anniversary year in thrilling style as bosses have announced that a 90-minute special will air this Christmas.
If that wasn’t enough excitement, one of the show's most iconic characters - Officer Dwayne Myers – will be rejoining the cast for the historic episode.
Danny, 60, bid farewell to Death In Paradise back in 2018 after he threw in the towel on his long-running character appeared on the show since it first aired in 2011.
At the time of his departure from the show, Officer Dwayne escaped death and was one of the few characters who were not killed off - leaving the door open for his eventual return.

Death In Paradise fans have already shared their excitement about the iconic character’s return after BBC’s announcement, and they’re gearing up for Officer Dwayne’s epic return to Saint Marie Island.
Opening up about his long-awaited return, Danny admitted that it is a ‘pleasure’ to be heading back to film in the Caribbean after his extended break from the crime show.
“It’s always a pleasure going back to the Caribbean,” he told The Mirror.
“After four years away, fitting back into the fold should be seamless as I know the new lead cast members.

“I look forward to bringing Dwayne and this 10th anniversary special script to life.”
The historic episode will also feature Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker and there will also be a guest appearance from Juliet Stevenson as the action returns to exotic Saint Marie.
The BBC also confirmed Mathew Baynton, Stanley Townsend, Jocelyn Jee Esien, Anthony Calf, Tessa Bonham Jones, Elizabeth Tan, and Tariq Jordan would all be joining the cast for the special episode.
This historic episode will be an extension of the 10th season, with the 11th airing from early next year.

Executive producer Tim Key said: “We’ve been talking about a Christmas episode for years so we’re beyond excited to be finally making one and to be working with Danny again.
“We can’t think of a better place to spend Christmas than in Saint Marie.”
Elsewhere, Tommy Bulfin, commissioning editor for BBC Drama, said: “We are delighted Death in Paradise will be bringing the sunshine to the festive schedule.”
