Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has confirmed that Jonathan Kodjia is the only absentee for his team's trip to the Emirates Stadium this weekend.
The striker was replaced in the first half of the opening Premier League match against Tottenham, and it was revealed that he had broken his cheekbone.
He has not featured in the Premier League since, and despite talk that the Ivory Coast international could make his comeback while wearing a special match, Smith has revealed that that is still 'two or three weeks' away, meaning he will miss the trip to Arsenal.
“Only Jonathan Kodjia, Jonathan fractured his cheek bone, but he’s back in light training with us, all non-contact at the moment. But other than that we have a fully fit squad," the Villa boss said in his pre-match press conference.
"He's non contact for the next two or three weeks, that's irrespective of a mask. He's got that for the next two weeks, then we can start thinking about where we go next."
Both Matt Targett and James Chester are yet to play a game this season after suffering thigh injuries, and while Smith has said that both are back in training, he has hinted that the game may come too soon for Chester to make an appearance.
“Matt Targett will be in contention to start, he’ll be in the squad," he said.
"James Chester has not actually played an 11 vs 11 game for us which we will look to arrange over the next few weeks, but he’s trained with us every day, so that’s good news."
