Deal for Steelers WR Antonio Brown may take longer than expected

The Tennessee Titans have bowed out of the race for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, but there are still other teams trying for a chance to add him to the roster.

A number of clubs have reportedly already backed out this week, though, for a combination of reasons including off-the-field concerns and the price tag associated with Brown.

While a deal for the wideout was originally expected to be finalized on Friday, it appears that timeline has been extended.

Brown was expected to go to the Bills according to reports by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Thursday evening, but any potential of a trade actually coming to pass quickly diminished.

Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane says he did inquire about Brown, but both parties eventually decided against making a deal.

It will be interesting to see where Brown ultimately lands and how long that takes, but it’s almost certain his new home won’t be Nashville.
