Davina McCall to bring new book Menopausing to Edinburgh Waterstones this weekend

TV presenter and author Davina McCall is heading to Edinburgh this weekend as part of an event to discuss her new book on dealing with menopause.

Taking place at Assembly Roxy on Roxburgh Place on Saturday (November 19) from 7pm, the special event will see the Masked Dancer presenter discuss 'Menopausing' with writing collaborator, Dr Naomi Potter, the founder of Menopause Care, and author of ' Still Hot!', Vicky Allan.

Aimed at breaking some of the taboos, misinformation and stigma around something that will affect every woman, the informative new book draws directly from the lived experience of hundreds of women.

Priced at £10 for a ticket, or £25 for a ticket including a copy of the book, tickets can be purchased from the Waterstones website ahead of the event.

Posting about the book event, Waterstones said: " Menopausing is a powerful addition to the conversation around this much-misunderstood subject. In this event, Davina McCall will be in conversation at Assembly Roxy with her writing collaborator, Dr Naomi Potter, the founder of Menopause Care."

Speaking about the book, Davina said: "For too long, women have had to keep quiet about the menopause – its onset, its symptoms, its treatments – and what it means for us. Menopausing will build an empowered, supportive community to break this terrible silence once and for all.

"By exploring and explaining the science, debunking damaging myths, and smashing the taboos around the perimenopause and menopause, this book will equip women to make the most informed decisions about their health… and their lives."
