This Morning viewers were left shocked on Monday when Davina McCall replaced Holly Willoughby, leaving co-host Phillip Schofield to explain why.
With neither Holly or Phillip on the show on Friday, no warning was given that she would be missing in action, so when Big Brother presenter Davina appeared in her place, fans were rather surprised.
But there was nothing for them to be concerned about as Phillip explained: "Holly is taking her children to school today, they're all going back today.
“It’s a staggered affair and it's quite complicated,” he revealed. “So yes she’s taking the kids to school.”
"As she should," Davina interjected, before Phillip added: "We’ve never done this before [together]."
This Morning viewers were quick to react to Holly's absence, with one tweeting: "Why the f**k is Davina presenting #ThisMorning?! Where's Holly?!" and another posted: "Where's Holly? I can't watch Davina, she's more annoying than Amanda Holden."
Some viewers were kinder, with one reacting: "great seeing Davina and our national treasure Phil."
Holly referenced her children's return to school with a picture of her, Belle and Chester's feet along with the caption: "The new norm... back to school.."
