Davide Ancelotti is reportedly set to join his father Carlo with the Brazilian national team.
The 35-year-old has been widely linked to the permanent Rangers job over the past few days.
Ancelotti is currently his dad's assistant at Real Madrid. Carlo will leave the club at the end of the season, however, and become the new manager of Brazil.

Davide will join him in South America for World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay in June, claims The Athletic. It remains to be seen whether Ancelotti Jr will remain as part of the setup after those games, however, as he has 'interest from a number of clubs'.
Rangers remain on the hunt for a permanent successor to Philippe Clement.
Barry Ferguson took interim charge of the team following the Belgian's dismissal.
In what was potentially his last game as boss at Ibrox on Wednesday evening, Rangers ran out 3-1 winners, as goals from Cyriel Dessers and Nicolas Raskin helped them come from behind to beat Dundee United 3-1.
"I've loved every minute of it," said Ferguson.
"I knew it wasn't going to be perfect when I came in. But I was willing to take that challenge on. And it has been challenging, believe me. It's been challenging.
"But as I said, every day I walk into a training centre, every day I walk through the front door. It's a privilege to be here and work here. And it's not over yet. It's only one game, and you never know what's around the corner."
