West Ham boss David Moyes believes Newcastle United have benefited from players being used in the 'right position.'
The Hammes boss was speaking to the media ahead of the Magpies trip to the capital on Saturday and praised Eddie Howe for the job the head coach has done at the club.
Among the reasons for Howe's success with Newcastle, Moyes picked out a very simple reason for it.
"I think they have become a much more balanced team," Moyes said.
"I think they have got a formation at the moment which is helping them.
"They have players playing in rough positions which suit them and it has given them a good chance, as well as confidence and momentum which is a big thing in football and they are probably looking and saying we are out of trouble and have a chance of getting away from it."
Newcastle head to the London Stadium looking for their fourth win on the bounce and face a West Ham side who although are lying fifth in the table have struggled to dominate games of late.
Despite this, West Ham are not necessarily short of confidence as West Ham reporter for Football London Tom Clark explained on The Everything is Black and White Podcast: "I'm not it [the issue] is confidence.
"They have been grinding out results.
"One-nil against Watford with a deflected goal, a last-minute winner against Kidderminster and a last-minute draw against Leicester - so I don't think confidence is an issue because Moyes has got them as a confident squad but it's just not clicking.
"You can't really put your finger on it.
"They're still in three competitions - they're looking forward to the return of the Europa League next month, I think they just need one good performance and things will click back in for them."
