You know what they say about there being two sides to every story? Welp, several insiders have now spilled bulk tea about Lily Allen and David Harbour‘s messy divorce, claiming we haven’t been told the entire story on West End Girl.
Speaking to Daily Mail, someone claiming to be a close friend of David’s insisted: “Lily’s hardly an angel. She gave David a totally false idea of what and who she is. She wanted the big house and the lifestyle and then she hated it.
“Men find her hard work; there is something about her which makes them pull their hair out and run a mile. Same thing happened with her ex Sam Cooper.
“She was advised if she wanted to sell albums then she would have to sing about David and now she’s cashing in.”
They concluded: “It comes from the same insecurities she has had all of her life, a lot comes from her background – being bounced from pillar to post as a child, her dad not coming home and a feeling of rejection.”

Another insider also gave a scathing recount to the publication: “This is typical Lily. She opens her mouth and totally lambasts someone, and meanwhile he’s looking after her children.
“She has told people what she wants them to hear, in interviews and song lyrics, which means she has come across as the victim.
“But she hasn’t told the full story. Again, typical Lily. David spent several years as Ethel and Marnie’s stepfather. It’s lovely to see they, at least, still have a relationship. You just wonder why Lily would feel the need to attack David so much and make him look like the worst man in the world when actually he’s caring for her daughters.”
Meanwhile, an insider claiming to be connected to Netflix has accused Lily of intentionally dropping the album — which paints David Harbour as a cheater and a liar — around the same time the final season of Stranger Things is set to drop.
“The album seems very deliberately timed to undermine David ahead of the Stranger Things finale,” they said.
“It was hugely emotional for him and the cast to bring this story to an end, and it is something he is very proud of.”
The first episodes are set to be released on November 27, just over a month after Lily’s album dropped, so negative chatter will likely still be in the air.
“But there is no way that he can now be part of the press tour while this is going on,” the insider continued. “It would be an utter embarrassment. It must be devastating for David that he is unable to fully participate in the final chapter of the show that made him famous.”
The staunch defence of David Harbour comes after a slew of celebrities have publicly backed Lily Allen. Note that they have not opted to do so anonymously via the Daily Mail, but with public social media posts. Funny that!
