David Beckham extended an olive branch to his eldest son Brooklyn by sharing a heartfelt message alongside photos from his 50th birthday trip to the Scottish Highlands with Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20 .
The former England captain marked the milestone with a back-to-basics fishing and camping trip, which he revealed had been planned for six months.
Sharing snapshots of the peaceful escape on Instagram, he showed the trio cooking freshly caught seafood, relaxing in remote bothies, and enjoying time together by the water.
“Six months ago planned a trip with my boys at the start of last week to camp and fish for my 50th,” he wrote. “Was so much fun.”
One photo, showing the sports star alongside his two younger sons, carried a quiet but pointed message: “You were missed Brooklyn,” he added, tagging his eldest child.
According to sources quoted by the Mail, the former footballer invited Brooklyn to the trip months ago, and he arrived in the UK in time to join.

However, he didn’t attend, and insiders suggest the decision may have been influenced by Nicola Peltz.
“Brooklyn was asked to join them ages ago,” a source told the outlet. “Then he came to London in time but he didn't go. Once again David made the best of things and had a great time with Cruz and Romeo.”
Brooklyn, 26, who lives in the U.S. with Nicola, was not present for the Highlands trip nor was he spotted at David’s lavish birthday bash in London over the weekend.
The absence comes as speculation continues around ongoing tension between Brooklyn, Nicola, and the wider Beckham family - though no one has directly addressed the rumours.
TMZ reported that Nicola and Brooklyn had asked to celebrate David’s birthday separately, allegedly due to issues with Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.
However, Kim wasn’t at the family’s Cotswolds party either, meaning Brooklyn and Nicola could have attended without crossing paths.
Instead, the couple were also absent from the Met Gala in New York, despite earlier expectations that they’d walk the red carpet again this year.

The theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, would’ve marked their return to one of fashion’s biggest nights but they reportedly cancelled plans over the weekend.
“They cancelled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David's party on Saturday,” a source told The Sun.
“But Brooklyn is really upset that blame for the rift has been levelled at Nicola. She has never told him what to do and has been nothing but supportive - she's a loyal wife.”
The Beckham family has kept a dignified silence amid the rumoured rift, though eagle-eyed fans have pointed out several social media ‘snubs’ in recent months.
Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t appear to publicly acknowledge Victoria’s recent birthday, and weren’t seen at family gatherings - including David’s milestone party.
Brooklyn also didn’t post publicly for his dad’s 50th, adding fuel to the speculation.
