Dating app Hinge is offering to give couples who match on the site £100 to go on a date.
The popular dating app "designed to be deleted" is dishing out £15,000 in vouchers to encourage single people to get out there and start dating again now that coronavirus restrictions have eased and outdoor dining is allowed.
Hinge has dubbed the payment a 'second date stipend' and say there are no restrictions on what it can be used on.
To get your hands on the £50, users must attend an in-person date with another Hinge user between April 12 and April 18, and you must report the date using the 'We Met' feature on the app.
Users are encouraged to follow Coronavirus restrictions and take precautions during any dates, such as observing mandatory social distancing.
After the first date, each user will be responsible for confirming their date via We Met in order to be eligible to receive the £50 stipend.
Once a Hinge user has done this, they will receive email instructions for virtual gift cards that can be used for a second date - these will be sent to each qualifying user starting April 19.
The vouchers will be sent out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hinge’s Director of Relationship Science, Logan Ury said: "At Hinge, we’re hearing our users loud and clear: they’re ready to get back out there and date in person again.
"With this in mind, we expect to see a huge increase in dating this spring as restrictions lift. After more than a year in lockdown, we’re excited to see Hinge users get off the app and onto great dates."
