Darren Sproles moves into 5th-place all-time in NFL history for all-purpose yards

It was expected that Darren Sproles could find a role in the NFL as a smallish sized running back, but no one could have ever imagined that the former Kansas State star would turn into a Hall of Famer. Sproles will be honored one day for his prowess on special teams, at running back and occasionally as a valued slot receiver.

On a four-yard punt return, Sproles moved past Tim Brown into fifth place all-time in NFL history for all-purpose yardage.

Sproles was 30 yards shy of Brown, who had 19,682 career yards.

– Jerry Rice: 23,546
– Brian Mitchell: 23,330
– Walter Payton: 21,803
– Emmitt Smith: 21,564
– Tim Brown: 19,682
