Glen Powell is in the midst two different press tours at the same time. He had Chad Powers earlier this fall and now he’s kicking off the press for his upcoming film, The Running Man. And his Top Gun: Maverick co-star Danny Ramirez decided to have some fun with him.
Ramirez and Powell have been friends, as has most of the cast of Top Gun: Maverick, since the film’s release. It delights fans to see everyone together and it makes me excited to see what will happen when we eventually get a third film in the franchise. With that friendship comes some fun bits, like Ramirez showing up on the same plane as Glen Powell and having fun with him.
Powell, who was at New York Comic Con for The Running Man, flew to Dallas right after for the Texas vs. Oklahoma game. And when he walked onto his flight, Ramirez was waiting for him. The two laughed as Ramirez filmed Powell’s GQ cover and it was a cute little moment between friends. And then he upped the anti.
When Powell was greeted by autograph hounds, Ramirez decided to run up and get the GQ cover in question signed. He says he just has one, let’s Powell sign it, and then makes it obvious that he isn’t actually just a fan of his.
Time to get these two back in their Super Hornets
Ramirez, whose friendship with Lewis Pullman also makes headlines, has been on the rise just like Powell. While Powell is tackling a bunch of different genres, Ramirez has taken on Sam Wilson’s wings as the new Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But what I love dearly about the cast of Top Gun: Maverick is that they all still support each other.
Powell and Ramirez are both popular online for their love of college football and to see the two of them joining forces to help everyone talk about The Running Man is for the girlies who still love the Dagger Squad.
This is just the start of the press run for The Running Man, which is set to hit theaters on November 14, and we’re in for quite a fun ride. And hopefully more of Danny Ramirez running up to Glen Powell and having him sign random things.
