Lincoln City boss Danny Cowley was impressed with Nottingham Forest 's Tyler Walker as he made his Imps debut.
The 22-year-old made the loan switch to Sincil Bank last week ahead of the club's opening day clash with Accrington Stanley.
Coventry City and Lincoln were in fierce competition to land the forward all summer long, but it was Cowley's side who won his signature as Walker teamed up with fellow Reds academy graduate Jorge Grant.
Last season, with League Two's Mansfield Town, Walker netted 22 times and helped the Stags into the play-off places - so it seemed only natural that he would now make the step up into the third tier.
“I thought Tyler was really bright on his debut,” said Danny Cowley.
“He was full of running and he kept the ball up the pitch without great service in the first half.
“In the second half, his link-up and combination play was good and he always looks a threat in front of goal.
“The fact he had three chances, we see that as a real positive.”
