Daniel Mackay nets first Hibs goal as Jack Ross’ men face Dunfermline in pre-season clash

Hibs new boy Daniel Mackay got his first goal for the club during a pre-season friendly with Dunfermline.

The winger joined Hibs at the end of last season after a fee was agreed with Inverness Caley Thistle.

He played the first half of the game with Dunfermline and was joined by fellow new boy with Jake Doyle-Hayes but it was Mackay who stole the show.

He netted a first half goal with Jack Ross naming a strong side for the first half of the behind-closed-doors game.

Matt Macey started in goals while the likes of Ryan Porteous, Lewis Stevenson, Joe Newell, Doyle-Hayes, Drey Wright and Scott Allan all started.

Youngsters Josh Campbell, Jack Brydon and Jamie Gullan all played the first half too.

Hibs then made changes at the break to use their squad with Kevin Dabrowski, Paul McGinn, Darren McGregor, Paul Hanlon, Kyle Magennis, Alex Gogic, Stevie Mallan and Jamie Murphy joined by Steven Bradley, Oscar McIntyre and Connor Young.

The Easter Road side have a host of fixtures lined up for pre-season and that includes games against Arsenal and Raith Rovers as they prepare for the Premiership campaign.
