Daniel Levy delivers Harry Kane Tottenham trophy prediction in clear message to Man United

Harry Kane has broken countless records during his time at Tottenham Hotspur. However, there is an argument that the 29-year-old would swap all of his achievements to lift a major trophy with club.

Kane was given his first start at Spurs under Tim Sherwood towards the back end of the 2013/14 season and he has gone on to cement himself as one of the Premier League's best strikers of all time. The England international placed his name into Tottenham history by breaking the club's all-time goal scoring record of Spurs legend Jimmy Greaves after taking his tally to 267 goals for his boyhood club.

Despite his historic achievement, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry urged Kane to leave Spurs this summer or settle for an unfulfilled career with the Lilywhites. The England international's contract will have just one year remaining this summer and the player is in no rush to sign an extension.

When asked what he would do in Kane's shoes, Henry told CBS Sports: "If I was him I would go. It's up to him to choose where but I would go, he has to know where he wants to go.

"A player like that, a player of his calibre, should not talk about just his goals at the end of his career. If I was him, I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if all I could talk about is my goals."

Tottenham have endured a difficult season and once again will end the campaign without a trophy. However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has predicted Kane to win a trophy with the club and go down as a Tottenham legend.

In a Q&A with Cambridge Union, Levy was asked if he thinks Kane can win a trophy at Spurs and whether he needs to seek a move away amid reports Manchester United are keen on signing the striker in the summer. "He [Kane] can absolutely win a trophy at Spurs. But you know being a legend is also important," Levy said.

"The fact that he's the top scorer for Tottenham Hotspur, he's making history. I hope one day there is a statue of Harry Kane outside our stadium."

Spurs are currently without a manager after sacking Antonio Conte following a tense season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Levy's next appointment must be capable of leading the club to adding a major trophy to the cabinet and help Kane realise his aim of becoming a club legend that brought success to N17.
