Daniel Jones falling behind in NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year poll

A few weeks ago, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was the frontrunner in the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year polls. After a few bad weeks, he’s in danger of falling out of the race.

Last week, according to betonline.ag, Jones was tied with Jacksonville’s Gardner Minshew for second choice at 4/1 behind Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray, who was the top rated rookie at 8/5.

This week, Murray is pulling away at 6/5 with Oakland running back Josh Jacobs second at 2/1 and Minshew is still at 4/1.

Jones has dropped to 10/1. Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin rounds out the field at 12/1.

Jones and Murray just faced off this past Sunday, with Murray’s Cardinals outpacing Jones’ Giants, 27-21. Neither player stood out. Murray completed 14 of 21 passes for just 104 yards with no touchdowns. He ran for 28 yards on 10 attempts.

Jones passed for 223 yards on 22/33 passing with 1 TD and an INT. He rushed four times for 35 yards but fumbled three times in the game.

Murray’s passer rating for the game was 78.3, while Jones’ was 78.6.
