Dangerous driving suspect named as man dies in M62 crash

A suspect accused of driving the car involved in a fatal crash on the M62 has been named.

Cheshire Constabulary was called to reports of a two car crash at around 3.45am on Saturday, April 29 on the M62 near Warrington. Officers attending the scene found the crash involved a grey Mercedes and a silver Skoda Fabia.

The driver of the Skoda, a 61-year-old man from Wirral, died of his injuries in Warrington District General Hospital. Shaun Tinsley was arrested at around 10.30am on Friday, March 5 at a hotel in Mold, Wales in connection with the crash.

The 28-year-old, of Deysbrook Way, West Derby, has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving while uninsured and causing death by driving while disqualified.

Tinsley is also charged with failing to stop following a collision, failing to report a collision and driving without insurance. Tinsley appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Saturday, May 6 where he was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, June 5.

Two other men, along with a 17-year-old boy, have also been arrested in relation to the crash. They have all been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
