Dancing With the Stars' Dr Marie Cassidy says goodbye after highly entertaining movie week

Dr Marie Cassidy has become the second contestant to be eliminated from this season of Dancing With The Stars.

Tonight's episode saw the former State Pathologist perform a Foxtrot to Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians with her partner Stephen Vincent as part of Movie Week. But sadly despite being praised by the judges, she scored just 15 points.

Last week's topper and Eurovision star, Brooke Scullion and her partner, Robert Rowinski's passionate Paso Doble to The Greatest Show from the film The Greatest Showman earned them 24 points. Judge Arthur Gourounlian described her as the leading lady and said that she made the performance look so effortless, RSVP Live reports.

Former Ireland rugby player Shane Byrne and his partner Karen Byrne tangoed to Wreck-It, Wreck-It Ralph last week. Judge Loraine Barry said that tonight was a breakthrough for him but his roly-poly was more of a "holy-moly". They got a score of 18.

Stephanie Roche wowed the judges and audiences with her Charleston last week and she took to the floor with Ervinas Merfeldas, dancing a sassy Salsa with impressive lifts to Rhythm of the Night from Moulin Rouge.

Comedian Kevin McGahern got the golden ticket to dance American Smooth with his partner Laura Nolan to Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Part 3 of the show kicked off with a spellbinding Jive by Panti Bliss and her dance partner Denys Samson to the soundtrack of The Witches Are Back from Hocus Pocus 2. Joined by drag legends Shirley Temple Bar and Veda they dressed up as the Sanderson sisters.

Brian said she was starting to put a spell on him in this competition. Panti, Denys and the sisters scored 22.

Entrepreneur Suzanne Jackson and her partner Michael Danilczuk hoped to recover from a tricky performance last week as they danced a Paso Doble to America from West Side Story - and she was back with a bang.

Their step perfect routine got them a score of 23 from Brian, Loraine and Arthur.

2FM Breakfast host Carl Mullan and his partner Emily Barker took to the floor tonight with a very fun American Smooth to If I Didn’t Have You from the film Monsters Inc.

The final part of the show opened with a Charleston by former Dublin GAA star Paul Brogan and his partner Salome Chachua to A Star Is Born from the film Hercules.

Brian said the routine had the ingredients to be god awful but it wasn't. Paul and Salome go three 9's, the highest score of the season so far.

Saving the best until last, the final couple to perform were actor and singer Damian McGinty and his partner Kylee Vincent, who rocked a Jive to Burning Love from the movie Elvis and scored 25. For the grand finale, the professional dancers performed a musical showstopper to the soundtrack of City of Stars/Another Day of Sun from the movie La La Land.
