Dancing On Ice viewers demand explanation from ITV over Caprice and Hamish split

Dancing On Ice viewers are not happy about the lack of explanation they have been given for why Caprice Bourret split from dancing partner Hamish Gaman.

So much so they are demanding a proper explanation from ITV.

No official reason has been offered from the broadcaster, other than that they had “parted ways” and that Caprice has been given a new pro partner, Oscar Peter.

This demand for information comes in the wake of the judges’ unanimous decision to save the model from elimination over the weekend - instead sending home Radzi Chinyanganya and pro partner Jessica Hatfield.

Caprice hit the dancefloor with Oscar and despite being criticised by fans over her ‘wooden’ performance, she was backed by all judges to stay.

Boos could be heard from the audience as she returned to the ice after missing last week's show.

Caprice booed on Dancing on Ice

One fan tweeted: “I think ITV owe all the viewers an explanation as to why Caprice and Hamish have parted ways! They expect the public to vote but won’t be honest with the viewers as to what has happened! Absolute disgrace.”

A second said: “What the HELL happened between Caprice and Hamish? They’ve parted ways? I need the tea.”

A third raged: “WHY IS NO ONE ALLOWED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!!!! WHATS THE SECRET CAPRICE!!!”

Another posted: “I want to know what happened between Caprice and Hamish. Come on ITV spill the tea.”

It all began after Caprice, 48, reportedly complained to show bosses about Hamish's ‘bullying’ behaviour and threatened to quit if she was made to skate with him.

However, ITV strongly deny the claims and say they have found no evidence of this.

An ITV spokesperson said: "We take allegations of bullying very seriously but found no evidence on Dancing On Ice and we strongly refute any suggestion to the contrary.

"We’re very proud of the team, both on and off screen.

"They produce a fantastic show and we are committed to ensuring that everyone who works on the programme is fully supported."

Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday from 6pm on ITV.
