Dancing On Ice fans were 'crying' on Sunday night as The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran emotionally recalled the death of his bandmate Tom Parker. The singer, originally from Bolton, died aged 33 last March after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
The pop star took to the ice for the first time on Sunday (January 15) with a 1980s-style performance with professional partner Klabera Komini, earning a score of 24.
Ahead of his performance, the singer opened up about how he is 'still grieving' the loss of fellow bandmate, and said that Parker's 'courage' through battling his brain cancer pushed him to 'face his fears' and take part in the hit ITV show.

Speaking in a cameo as he became tearful, the 34-year-old said: "When I think about the past, I just think about Tom. Last year, Tom passed away.
"I guess I am still grieving, yeah, I am still grieving. I witnessed his courage when he was fighting with his illness and it was so inspiring. I wanted to bring it into my life and face my fears."
Viewers took to Twitter to share their own emotion, as @BekkaOSullivan wrote: "Siva hasn’t even danced yet and I’m crying. Tom would be so proud of him for stepping out of his comfort zone."

The Mirror reported how Siva paid a difficult and emotional visit to the hospice where Tom passed away to support Tom's wife Kelsey Parker on the sixth and final episode of her ITV documentary Life After Tom. The pair revisited The Lavender Room, where Siva recalled Kelsey's mum breaking the news to family and friends that Tom had died.
