Dancing on Ice's Michelle Heaton vows to come out 'all guns blazing' after score setback

Michelle Heaton is making it her mission to bounce back from the disappointment of finishing bottom of the leaderboard by coming out 'all guns blazing' as she returns to the Dancing on Ice rink this weekend.

Before she'd even set foot on the ice with professional partner Lukasz Rozycki, Liberty X star Michelle had been very candid with how much even getting to be on the ITV show meant to her, after a tough few years which saw her tackle her alcohol addiction head on by going into rehab.

Now close to two years sober, Michelle was left in tears as the call came through to say she'd got a spot on the Dancing on Ice line-up for the new series, so went into her first performance determined to do her family proud.

Husband Hugh and the couple's children were in the audience to see Michelle's skate, cheering wildly as the routine came to an end. Sadly for Michelle, the judges' response was less enthusiastic and their scores resulted in her ending up bottom of the leaderboard and in serious risk of landing in the skate-off.

In a shock turn of events it was Love Island winner Ekin-Su who ended up in danger and, after that let-off, Michelle is approaching this Sunday's Musicals Week with real fire in her belly. Taking to Instagram earlier this week, the Gateshead born singer wrote: "After months of training to have it come down to just over 1 minute I found quite overwhelming to have it gone in a flash. But it’s not the first time I’ve been at the bottom. I've hit many."

She added: "But the only way I know is to get back up, dust myself off, hold head high and go all guns blazing," before promising: "I hope I show you that all your votes for me & @icelukasz meant the world, by giving everything we got this Sunday night on the ice!"

Michelle signed off: "Your continued support has got us here and we will be so grateful for it to continue."
