Newcastle United's Dan Burn joked he wouldn't be taking the armband off after he was given the captaincy in the final moments of the win over Brentford. Kieran Trippier handed his fellow defender the honours for the final few minutes of the game, with Eddie Howe replacing the England international with Matt Targett.
Burn spoke of his pride of captaining his boyhood club and is hopeful he'll one day be able to lead his side out at St. James' Park. Speaking to NUFC TV, he said: "I'm not planning on taking it off so it's special. Supporting Newcastle as a boy and stuff, you dream of captaining Newcastle.
"It would be great if I could start a game as captain but I'll take anything. It's a special moment for me and for my family."

The win over Brentford was the perfect statement of how far the club has come in 12 months, and also an encouraging sign of what's still to come. The brilliant atmosphere inside St. James' Park this afternoon was almost unimaginable this time one a year ago.
"Class," Burn said when asked about the atmosphere inside the ground. "I don't think there's anywhere else like it in the country. We've definitely got the best fans, when the flags are up it gives us that extra bit and I think you saw from the way we started the game. We started off really quickly and it's a tough place to come and play."
