Damarious Randall loves the Dawg Pound, happy to be playing safety again

Damarious Randall was a godsend to the Cleveland Browns defense in his first year with the team. The veteran quickly assumed the starting free safety role and proved a massive upgrade in both top-end talent and reliability over his predecessors.

Browns fans took to Twitter to remind Randall how much the Dawg Pound appreciates him. Randall quickly returned the favor and professed his love for the fans, who have treated him a little differently than the reception he got in his years in Green Bay.

The Packers traded Randall, their first-round pick in 2015, to the Browns for backup QB DeShone Kizer last offseason. Randall moved back to his natural free safety spot and thrived for the Browns, much to the chagrin of Packers nation.

Oh by the way, the Browns wound up with a better record than Green Bay in 2018. Thank you, John Dorsey…
