Dallas Cowboys' Dak Prescott would take ugly win in LA Rams clash following poor recent form

Dak Prescott doesn’t care if Dallas win ugly, so long as they win.

The Cowboys were coasting towards next month’s playoffs only to lose their last three games.

And now, as they prepare to host the Los Angeles Rams tonight (Sky Sports Action, 9.25pm), the Cowboys’ quarterback is desperate to halt the slide and turn their season around.

Prescott said: “Winning today is all we have to do. We will worry about tomorrow when it comes.

“We are thankful to still be in the position to control our destiny but we are definitely hungry.

“We are focusing on what is happening right now and not worrying about having three games left or who we have after this week. It’s about today.”

A bitter loss last week in Chicago saw several Dallas players vent their frustration at the third consecutive defeat but Prescott likes the attitude he is seeing in the squad.

He said: “I hope there’s frustration. Everyone is frustrated. Some people just express it differently. It shows you care about this team’s success.

“We’ve got to get a win and we’ve got to play well. It’s as simple as that. If we want to succeed in the playoffs, we have to get momentum going.

“You’ve got to get that first win to get the second one. That’s the mindset – let’s focus on now, focus on today, focus on this week and worry about the rest when it comes.

“We can be productive when we’re doing the right things but it takes everybody. [Individual] numbers are good but when you’re not winning games they don’t matter. At the end of the day, it’s about wins and right now we have to find a way to get one.

“We can’t get disappointed or get down on ourselves. We control our destiny and we have to focus on that and keep moving forward.”
