Daisy May Cooper tried to seduce Greek waiter on 'disastrous' first holiday after split

Daisy May Cooper has revealed how her first holiday abroad since becoming a single mum was a “disaster”.

The comedy star separated from her husband Will Weston, who she shares children Pip, four, and Jack, two, with last year.

This summer was the first time she had taken the kids on holiday on her own – but she shared she was also up for having a bit of fun herself.

Unfortunately her drunken attempts at seducing a Greek waiter massively failed and she had to desperately try to avoid him for the rest of the holiday.

Recalling the hilarious holiday mishap, the 36-year-old told Alan Carr’s ‘Life’s a Beach’ podcast: “Last time I went away was a complete disaster.”

The This Country star continued: “I went away with my friend and we took our four kids. I recently separated from my husband, so it was my first time as a single mum taking the kids away – and it was a f***ing nightmare.

“My son shat through his shorts. I didn’t have a nappy. Then I went through security and couldn’t put the pushchair down.

“My son was running through the security thing, and all these security officers were shouting at me in Greek and I just started retching. I’ve never done it before, but I was so stressed I couldn’t speak.”

As she got into her holiday, Daisy decided to chat up one of the waiters at their hotel – but things didn’t exactly go as planned.

“I got his number but I got a bit p***ed. When all the kids went to sleep I sent him a message – his name was Markos,” she shared.

“So I sent him a message and it just said ‘You going to come round or what?’

“And I’ve never seen somebody actually text in their own accent before. He said ‘I cannot. I’m so sorry. I will lose my job. I need the monies’.”

A rejected - and slightly tipsy - Daisy revealed she wrote back: “Bore off then”, leaving podcast host Alan in fits of giggles.

The actor, who is currently starring in new BBC series Am I Being Unreasonable?, continued: “I thought what the f*** am I doing?”

“Then I had to see him at the f***ing buffet restaurant every day after that. It was so embarrassing,” she added.

Daisy also revealed she had a run in with a well-known reality TV star while she was staying at London’s swanky Dorchester hotel.

Saying she “can’t deal with rudeness”, she recalled how she once bumped into none other than ‘The GC’ Gemma Collins – and wasn’t impressed.

“I stayed at the Dorchester in London and I was checking in,” she said.

“Gemma Collins turned up and I said ‘Alright Gems?’ and she looked at me like I was a piece of s*** on her shoe. I thought f*** you then. That annoyed me. I haven’t got time for that.”
